• RECENT EARTHQUAKES
Obtained from the National Seismological Service (SSN), the list of the most recent earthquakes detected in Mexico. They are not notified in real time and the seismic alert does not depend on this data source.
• SASMEX REPORTS
Obtained from the Cires AC, are the reports of seismic events relevant to the Seismic Alert System of Mexico (SASMEX). They are not notified in real time and the Seismic Alert is notified from an independent real-time source.
• NOAA CDMX RADIO WARNINGS
It is the NOAA radio for Mexico City (band of 160MHz), transmits coded messages about weather emergencies, natural disasters or system tests.
• SEISMIC ALERT FOR CDMX
Obtained through NOAA radio, it is brought to your device through a Push channel configured in Android with the special volume control of "Alert". It is notified in real time and its activation requires an in-app purchase.
WE ARE PREPARED FOR ANDROID OREO
Activate the notification channels from the configuration tab within the application, and customize the viewing and sound permissions in the Notifications Categories section within the Android Settings application.
DEMARCATION
- This app is not related to the National Seismological Service, nor to the Cires AC, nor to the Government of Mexico City.
- Push notifications are sent under the best attempt principle, as there are factors of network congestion or bad temporary connectivity in the receiving devices that can delay or prevent a remote warning.
We rewrote the application from scratch to improve performance and correct problems for some device families to verify in-app purchases. We have added an advertising banner to support the monetization of the service. If you have already purchased Premium access to receive Seismic Alert notices, don't worry, your purchase is still valid. This update is required to continue receiving notifications.
